Song of the day: DJ Fresh - Gold Dust

Aloha! Besides that I've promised to go running twice a week, I also made another New Year's resolution. My goal: buy more color and spice up my closet. The running has already failed, but I'm keeping up the second promise. Started with the matching scarf and gloves that I bought during my citytrip in Cologne. Oh, do you still remember I hated the color orange? Well, I'm totally over it and got myself this orange cardigan during the sales in Antwerp.

Furthermore we're celebrating X-MOS this Friday, the day we've all looked forward to! (For those who don't know what it is: on this day we celebrate that we only have 100 days of school to go.) We're currently preparing our show for the other pupils which means I'm super busy. My friends convinced me to join in their dance act, but I'm such a terrible dancer. Spent the last few days practicing my dance moves, at least they can't say I'm not doing my best. They also asked me to sing at the show and on the spur of the moment I said yes. Why oh why? I'm already super duper nervous and disaster scenarios are crossing my mind. So keep your fingers crossed please, I'll need it!

Last Saturday my boyfriend and I visited the Royal Ballerina's office in Ghent. I've interviewed the two ladies behind the brand: Annick and Tania. They are two school friends who find each other back after 20 years (on facebook, long live social media!). After getting together, they made a citytrip to Milan. That's where they hit upon the idea of making their own webshop, a ballerina webshop. After a while, when they finished their designs, found a webdesigner, made their own logo etc. these ladies were able to release their webshop back in January 2011. Royal Ballerinas - shoes to kiss - was born! So if you're a ballerina-lover, you've got to check out their website!

Hey readers! I can give you a thousand reasons why I've been neglecting the blog lately, but I will leave those behind. First of all I want to wish you a happy new year! I know I'm several days too late (like usual, I'm such a late comer), but I still wish the best for all of you in this new year. I've had an amazing New Year's Eve with my friends and after New Year's Day I spent a few days in Cologne. Hi! I - finally - finished all my exams, so I'm ready to restart the blogging! This is my third and already my last post about the press days: the Oona Welcome Days. Last season I've had my first PR experience ever at Oona, I still remember I was a bit nervous but it was great to discover all the new stuff. Because of my good experience I didn't want to miss the Oona press days this time! Read on and discover my favorites for next season.

Discover my all-time favourite Belgian brand: Essentiel. Their spring summer collection contained again a lot of colors. Most wanted item: the cute striped cardigan! It's a rather pricy brand, but it's still afforable for a student like me. I like!

Furthermore we have the famous Mouse flats from Marc by Marc Jacobs and pretty booties.

Listening to music in style, that's possible with the Marshall earplugs and the designer headphones from Molami. Headphones aren't 'just headphones' anymore, they're an accessory. That proves the fashionable headband!

I fell in love with these amazing heels from the high fashion brand Givenchy.

Men stuff!

I also spotted a lot of nice shoes at the huge sneaker section.

More earcandy, these headphones from Urban Ears are must-have for summer.

They even thought about the kids, meet the coolest vans ever! They're also available in bees or ladybugs.

And let's finish with two beautiful pairs of brogues!

Let the press day posts continue! The second PR-agency I visited during the press days in Antwerp was Pravda.

Welcome to shoe heaven: Steve Madden. Expect a lot of color, ethnic prints, look-a-like lita's and of course killer heels! Don't worry if those pumps are a little bit to extreme for you, the spring summer collection also contains beautiful alternatives.

Then we have the brand Franklin & Marshall that reminds me of an other famous brand: Abercrombie & Fitch. Nice to know: A&F will launch their first Belgian store in Brussels on 8th December!)

Another brand they represent is Desigual, a popular brand among my friends and family. Even though I'm not a big fan myself, I must admit that their accessories and footwear were very nice! If you're a color addict and you love mixing prints, this is defenitely something for you.

Furthermore, a selection from the collection (I'm such a master at rhyming!)of Who's That Girl & Wow To Go. Also in this collection we see lots of color and the vintage feeling is certainly present!

How do I love Belgian bag brands! Annelies Timmermans is another Belgian designer that we can be proud of. The little brown bag was one of my favorites for next season.

Men, be prepared for a lot of boat shoes next season (as seen by Sperry Top Sider and Sebago). My boyfriend's already a big fan!

Hey sweeties! Each season there's a color that I'm obsessed with. Lately I'm addicted to the color mustard. Easy to combine with sober shades, but a perfect color to brighten up your winter wardrobe. It's also very wearable in other seaons, so in my opinion, this is defenitely a winner. Another big trend in the fashion and blogging scene is the color burgundy, I think everyone already noticed that. Song of the day: Eliza Doolittle - I'll Be Your Pillow

It's time for press days, so be prepared for a few posts with all the fashionable things for the next spring/summer! Last Wednesday, I visited De Hovre PR for the first time and I must admit that they have such a cosy showroom. We were welcomed by Isabelle herself with smoothies, little snacks and macaroons (yum!)

The first brand she introduced was Souvenirs de Pomme designed by Delphine Cordie. Although I usually prefer simple & silver jewelry, I was captivated by these handmade jewels.

Everyone can find something at Billion Dollar Babes, because one size fits for every woman! Whether you are a thin girl, a lady with size XXL or a pregnant woman, everyone looks great in their designs. They also opened their first store ever at Antwerp, so make sure you pay them a visit.

Since I've visited De Hovre PR, I've got a new crush: the brand Clio Goldbrenner. My absolute favorite from her collection was the orange Clio bag. I don't think this brand needs more information, because these pictures speak for themselves.

Triwa watches! I'm thinking about ordering the grey one with pink & gold details, should I? Although the bright green one on the left is also very pretty .

Next up: Marion Cointot. This 26-year-old fashion designer from Paris introduced her collection herself at De Hovre. I was surprised by her collection and by the fact that she spoke Dutch very well!

The last part was the shoe section: I loooved those shiny shoes from Dolce Dolce!

FAMILY TRIP

Song of the day: Nadia Ali, Starkillers & Alex Kenji - Pressure (Zomboy Remix)

To celebrate that my grandmother and grandfather have already been married for 55 years, the whole family went off to the Netherlands for three days. On our way to Vlissingen, we first made a stop at Veere where we visited a few local shops that sold such cute things like these piggies beneath.

Later on, a quick stop at Neeltje Jans for some pictures with the sweet nieces!

In the late evening we arrived at our hotel called Bonaventure at Vlissingen. The next day after breakfast we already went for a walk (typical for family trips) to the port and on the beach. One of my nieces, Loes, even found a big crab while our dads were talking to the fishermen!

On our way back home, we took a break at Middelburg. First we did some sightseeing (another thing that's oh so typical for family trips) and in the remaining time we shopped a bit. Besides the big clothing companies like H&M, C&A, Vero Moda etc. where my niece bought a pair of burgundy Vans. I also found a beautiful store called Fashion Gallery where I found an adorable Fuchsia dress. Be prepared for some new outfits ;-)

I have to admit that I'm not a big fan of bright colors, but red is definitely an exception. When I saw these eye-catching heels in the store, I couldn’t resist! They’re very easy to combine (think: black tights in winter & a cute dress in summer) and the animal print on the inside makes them even more adorable ;-)

Urban Outfitters: the store that makes my heart skip a beat, that I can't avoid on a shopping trip and that makes me spent all my money in less than twenty minutes. Tell me, who doesn't love it? And there's good news for all the UO-lovers out there, because last Thursday they opened a new store in Brussels on Stéphanie Square. I haven't got the time yet to pay a visit, but that's definitely one of the things on my to-do-list. In the meantime I'm showing you my new dress from UO in Antwerp.

Song of the day: Kanye West - I wonder

Is it fall already, or is it not? That's what a lot of people are wondering these days. This weekend I took advantage of probably the last sunny days of this year, my boyfriend and I went to the coast for his (18th!) birthday. While I was complaining about the terrible weather in August, I was now able to lay on the beach in my bikini. Pretty weird, isn't it? It's already October?

Enough about the weather know, let's see what I was wearing yesterday. You could already see my new pants in my post about MM6 and Arrow and my new necklace from the huuuuge Forever21. Usually I prefer wearing heels, especially when I'm wearing loose pants like this one. But my feet deserve some rest from day to day and white sneakers are always a good alternative ;-)

Shopping? Yes please! Today I'm showing you some new things I bought recently, because I was in desperate need of some new stuff.

You all know that Forever 21 opened their doors in Antwerp this month and tell me, who can resist that and can stay home? That's right, nobody can! My first impression of the store: 'Wow, it's huge!'. I didn't know where to start, pretty obvious if the store has 3 floors full of clothes, shoes, bags and accessories. In about half an hour I was already walking around with tens of clothes, looking like a pack-donkey. Just when I was about to drop all the clothes, a lovely shop assistant came up to help me and gave me a shopping bag. Now that's what I call service! Anyhow, I bought a lot less than I expected at F21: a leather jacket, a top and some jewelry.

Song of the day: Studio Brussel: Teddiedrum - Miami

Events, events, events, let's see where I have been to this week!

First stop: MM6 Maison Martin Margiela, presentation of the collection and opening ceremony. I felt honoured, because it's one of my favorite Belgian brands. Pretty models, amazing clothes and a social evening, that's what I'm talking about!

Boots that can be worn in 2 ways!

For months, I'm looking for the perfect black bag and suddenly this bag comes into your life and makes you fall in love: multifunctional + perfect format to carry around all your stuff. Tough I'm still a student and I am not made of money, but a girl can dream right?

Second stop: Arrow 'America's Finest Shirts Since 1851'. They celebrated their 160 birthday with a cocktail party at Oxford. Unfortunately they don't have a women collection, but that's because they want to focus on one thing: men.

Song of the day: Rihanna - Man Down

Last Wednesday I went to the exhibition and pop-up store: Bergen, a pop-up book. This exhibition introduced Norwegian top brands like Norwegian Rain, T Michael, DoubleYou Perfume, Hansen and dMajuscule. I saw a lot of sober colors (black and grey) in their collections, but that didn't make it boring.

I also had the chance to meet a few designers, like Aase Helena Hansen from the label Hansen. It is a menswear label, wishing to reinvent and redefine the Nordic values within design, craftsmanship and materials. She told me something more about her collection and where she got her inspiration, it was a pleasure to meet her!

Brrr, I'm freezing! Boots, tights and leather jackts in August? I think mother nature is teasing us. I'm forced to pull out my winter wardrobe while I haven't worn half of all my summer clothes. Luckily I already did some new-season-shopping.

Song of the day: Jakwob feat. Smiler - Right Beside You

Yesterday the designer Kristien Follon presented her new fall/winnter 2011 collection 'I ain't afraid of no clown' during the Palm Parkies concerts in Hasselt. For this collection she returned all the way back to her childhood. Her source of inspiration: the circus with their happy (and creepy) clowns. That turned out in colorful collection with a lot of sequins, animal inspired pieces and shiny bodysuits. The presentation was held in a bright, yellow circus tent. Could it be more apposite?

Designer Kristien and her pretty models. Notice her beautiful sequin jacket with the shoulder pads! That made me think of a circus master, but definitely in a good way ;-)

Song of the day: Keri Hilson - Lose Control

I said goodbye to the good life: sunbathing on the beach, unlimited shopping and eating tapas & ice creams all day long. Yes, I'm back from Spain and I would love to share my vacation pictures with you! I survived my first trip ever with an airplane, though I have to admit that I was a little bit scared. Once arrived we had to face two rainy days, but that didn't stop us from having an amazing vacation. The planning: shopping in Figueres, Cadaqués and Llançà, sea kayaking, boat trips (too bad I became seasick) and a lot more. If I could I would go back in time!

Song of the day: Keri Hilson - Lose Control

Don't we all love reduction? Yes, we do! Anyhow I'm not a fan of a sales shopping and I'll give you a few reasons why.

First of all the big mess in the stores, almost comparable with a battleground. You’re one lucky woman if you find a beautiful item in your size. Another thing that irritates me during the sales is the endless row at the fitting rooms. Twenty people in front of you with tons of clothes on their arms and you’re standing there with only one piece that you would like to fit. Suddenly you hit upon an idea and you decide to fit the cute skirt in the store itself, bye bye endless row! But your mission failed when you hear one of the shop-assistants telling you that you’re doing a thing that’s not allowed. Just when you thought you faced the biggest row in your whole life, you haven't seen the row at the pay desk yet. Add to that the rising temperature in the store that makes you almost faint. Last but not least, proud moms like to carry their cute little babies where ever they go (including overpopulated stores). Imagine baby buggies being in your way and sometimes they even like to bump into your ankles (excluding apologies).

Maybe you're wondering why I don't stay home, but I think my new beauties makes things clear ;-)

Song of the day: Netsky - Miss Fatty

How time flies! At the beginning of this month I went to Slovenia. Never thought going on a summer camp was that pleasant. I already miss those amazing people I met there. Two days after I came bag, I planned a city trip to Amsterdam as a birthday present for my best friend. Due the bad weather we left a little bit earlier and with bad weather I mean really bad, I couldn't even hold my umbrella open. On our way home we decided to make a stop at Rotterdam, think sale shopping at Primark. Now that I'm finally home, it's already time to leave again: Spain!

Now something about my outfit. For years the color orange disgusted me. I refused the buy, even try, something when it had orange in it. But hey, don't they say keep your enemies close? For a change I bought something in the ex-ugliest color of the world!

Song of the day: Jason Derulo - Don't Wanna Go Home

Wednesday evening, I was invited to the Forever21 cocktail party/hologram fashion show at Anderlecht. I went together with Dana from Glamloving and my boyfriend. We didn’t have much trouble with finding our way and we even arrived a little bit earlier (not one of my habits!). We had to wait in line at the pink carpet and when we’re allowed to enter the event, we immediately got a flashy forever21bracelet, some cocktails and candy.

Of course, we also took some pictures (those beneath are with Dana and the bf). I loved the red car and the beachy background, could sit there the whole evening! I also had the chance to meet some other bloggers including the sweet Gioia from C. without shoes.

After an hour, it was show time! Finally we could see the hologram fashion show. In my opinion, it was a beautiful show and they used great effects to create the fashion show, but it was a little bit short. And making pictures? That was quite impossible! Later that evening it was time for a little game. Maybe you've noticed in the previous pictures that there was a 'little river' with ducks crossing the room. When you caught a duck with a cross on its back, you won forever21 prices. Unfortunately luck wasn't on our side :-(
At eleven o'clock there also played a band called Teddiedrum. They were pretty good actually! After that, it was already time to go home!

I had a great evening thanks to Oona, Forever21 and all the beautiful people who were present. Thank you! The only disadvantage: it was way too warm!

Other new purchase: running shoes. Okay, I admit, they’re not the most fashionable, fierce-looking shoes in the universe. But they’re a must-have in my shoe collection since I decided to start running again. Again yes, I decided that a few times ago, but I never came further than four or five lessons. But now, I’ll go for it. (Hmm seems like having a déjà vu?) My stamina is like minus three on a scale of ten and I’m tired of finishing with my tomato-head when we’re running with school. Exams, we all love them, don’t we? (I hope you all smelled the sarcasm) I will start Wednesday, with mathematics. Could it be worse? But the good thing is, after those two horrible weeks full of stress and nagging, the good life can begin. First trip on my calendar: one week Slovenia. I’m going on a sort of summer camp, with about 40 strangers, exciting! Next up: ten days Spain with my boyfriend. Can’t be disappointing! Other things I’m looking out for: city trip to Amsterdam and of course the summer festivals!

Song of the day: Foster The People - Pumped Up Kicks

Yesterday I was invited to the Toga125 Fashion Award and it became – once again – clear that I’m a last-minute planner and terribly forgetful. I made up my mind to prepare everything the day before (outfit, bag and its contents, camera… But I, being a little bit too lazy, didn’t while I know I’m going to regret it. Turned out that I had to choose my outfit in 3 minutes and I forget to change the lens of my camera. What a surprise!

Enough about me know, let’s talk about the event! It took place in the court house in Antwerp (which is an incredible building) and we were welcomed with champagne (I preferred drinking water ;-) and snacks. After the reception I took a seat in the room where it all happened, together with sweet Kimberly from fashion-feauture.

It all began with a speech, or what did you expect? When the last words were said, the lights went out and the music began. Models came up with masks à la Jabbawockeez and were dressed in the classical togas. Did I already mentioned that all the models were lawyers?
The first design made by Julie Van den Berghe already impressed me! And not only I was impressed, this spidery- design ended 2nd in the ‘competition’.

I think the man in the background was very surprised by this design ;-)

Song of the day: Studio Brussel: Undefined - The Pretender

Maybe you were wondering why I was absent for a few days. That's because I went to Paris from Thursday to Saturday! I've had an amazing time, but I don't think that's a surprise. I've mostly visited monuments and museums like the Louvre Museum, The Palace of Versailles which was extremely beautiful, the Notre Dame Cathedral and of course the Eiffel Tower. I didn't have much time for shopping, but I still found this cute playsuit and also a bikini.

A few weeks ago I went to Liege. Not my favorite shopping city, BUT they have a primark, the only one in our country! With a good feeling, I took my first step since a while into the store. That feeling quickly turned when I checked out the whole clothing department and ended with only five or six pieces in my bag. Disappointed and with a sigh I went to the fitting rooms. To make it even worse there stood an endless row. After waiting an hour, I also went to the accessory section: nothing. All my hope was already gone for the shoe department. But, in a corner at the store, I suddenly saw these brogues and they even were in my size, doens't happen a lot! I ended up buying them in two colors, because I couldn't decide. Oh Primark, who can resist? ;-)

Song of the day: Jessie J - Price Tag (Live Acoustic)

A few days ago I told you that I went to the Oona welcome days at Berchem. After PART 1, you can now read PART 2! I wanted to give you a more detailed report of this PR agency. Because, too bad, I was only able to visit Oona because of school (the trips to the agencies are very time-consuming) and I want to put my studies and school work first.

The first brand I couldn't forget to mention: Forever 21 and I don’t think I have to give more information about this brand. I would love to show you the whole collection, but these shorts were definitely my favorite! Colorful and a cute design = perfect shorts for summer. It’s a pity that we don’t have a F21 store in Belgium yet, but hip hip hooray they will launch their first store in Belgium in July!

Another brand they represent and I’m sure you’ll all know it, is River Island. In their collection we saw a lot of brown tinges and colors such as mustard, fuchsia and dark red. But they also thought of the black-lovers: jackets & boots. Favorite from this collection: the brown heels and it seemed that the stylists liked them too!

I also checked out the Belgian jewelry brand: atelier 11. Aren’t the silver feather earrings beautiful? Yes, they are, just like the other items from their collection. From now on, you can find this brand on my wishlist!

Then the brand Girls From Omsk. I heard of this brand before, but I actually never checked out their collection. Such a shame, because they sell great items. Most seen colors: grey, black, white and Bordeaux. I like! And don't forget their beautiful skirts and shirts.

Last but not least: Humanoid. I mostly liked the nude pieces from their collection, but it also contained a certainly dose of knitwear. Also the boots from their collection caught my eye. I've seen them on a few other blogs, so I guess they were greatly appreciated by other people.

I'm wearing my new trench playsuit from Urban Outfitters. That was such a hard decision to make! You'll all know this scenario: 'Oh I like this! - Hm, maybe a little bit to expensive? - Am I going to wear this? More than once? - Okay, I'm going to buy it, I'm sure! - Or maybe not?' Happens to me a lot! But in the end I bought it by the good advice of my aunt.

Song of the day: Studio Brussel: Ellie Goulding - Starry Eyed

Today I went to the Oona Welcome Days at Berchem. I was welcomed by Marie and she gave me a tour of the showroom. Always nice to get to know more about the brands they represent.

Let’s start with my absolute favorite: Essentiel and then I’m talking mostly about the shoes. First, the leopard shoes with studs. It's the kind of shoes you see passing by at every street style blog. The red boots/heels are looking F-I-E-R-C-E and I loved the black sneakers with leopard (again!) printed details. However don't forget their the flash collection. I’m not a big fan of the color blocking trend, but this bright-color-containing-collection stole my heart. So in my opinion, 10/10 for Essentiel!

Next: Wolf. by Sophie Claes. Her collection contains minimalistic, geometric shapes and timeless designs (as said on her website). According to me, perfect colors and shapes and I think the other bloggers agree with me. Can you believe this is only her first collection? This girl is going to make it! Unfortunately, I think don’t my wallet will like this collection.

Then we have the brand Chromat. Not very wearable in my opion, but certainly eye-catching! Also one of the more expensive brands in the showroom, but perfect for photoshoots and things like that.

Last stores for this post: Avance & Shoe discount. It was impossible to photograph the entire collection (imagine a big wall completely covered with shoes), but the boots were my favorites.

A TRIP TO ANTWERP

Yesterday I went to Antwerp with my niece, my uncle & my aunt. That has become an annual event for her birthday .
While we were in the car, we said together: ‘’ Look at the cute car!’’ and we decided to take some pictures. It matches with my dress, don’t you think? ;-)

Afterwards we went to a restaurant and we started shopping. First we did the stores in the side streets and that seemed a good idea because in the first store my niece already bought three dresses. At four o'clock we went to the well-known shopping street the ‘Meir’, with stores such as Zara, H&M and New Look. But I still prefer the less known, vintage & outlet stores. To give you a few examples: Think Twice, Jutka & Riska, Labels Inc…

At the end my niece and I went to the port for a few minutes, couldn’t end the day better!

A while ago a girl sent me an e-mail asking if she could interview me. Interview me? I felt (and still feel) honored ! She’s writing her thesis about blogs & fashion in Belgium and that’s the reason she wanted to interview some Belgian bloggers. I read my mail once again to check if I wasn’t dreaming and I sent a mail back. Of course she could interview me!

So today we did the interview. She asked me why I started my blog, what I want to do in the future, my opinion about blogs & fashion, what I do when I’m ‘offline’… The girl was so friendly, really! Song of the day: Katy Perry - E.T. ft. Kanye West

My boyfriend and I went to the coast for two days. We stayed in a pleasant hotel called 'Polaris' in Ostend. Our room wasn't the biggest hotel room I've ever stayed in, but definitely one of the most beautiful. Stylish in black & white and I liked the cute printed seats, almost the same as in my own room!

We decided to go to the beach after we had left our luggage at the hotel. Or do I need to say my boyfriend's luggage? Because the only thing I had with me was a rucksack while he came to me with a big suitcase!
So we took off our shoes and walked along the beach. Romantic, isn't it? ;-)

We drink a bit, ate a bit, shopped a bit... just the usual stuff that you do when you're on vacation. In the late afternoon went for a walk in the park. It's a pity that we don't have a beautiful park like this one in our village!

The next day, after a delicious breakfast, we went to the pier. Afterwards we went out shopping again. I got a beautiful floral playsuit from my boyfriend which I'll show you later. Lucky me!

In the end we went to the port of Ostend. There were so many gulls and I hate them! They look beautiful, but they steal everyone's food and they shit (forgive me my language) everywhere. But besides that it was fun and I couldn't imagine those two days better!

Song of the day: The Wombats - Jump Into The Fog

Hey readers! Yesterday I was invited to check out the SS11 Flash collection from the Belgian label Essentiel. I had some problems with finding my way in Brussels, but in the end I found the store.

Everyone was welcomed with a drink, some delicious macarons and a DJ!

The collection contained many colors. Green, red, yellow... you could find it all! And look at the cute white bag, immediatly made me think of the famous Chanel bags.

Suddenly I saw this jacket, perfect color and shape for spring! I really like the way they combined it in the store. Also loved the shoes in about the same color, especially the details on the heels.

After the woman's collection I also took a look at the menswear. The colored trouses on the striped wall immediately caught my eye!

Another part of the men collection. My dad would like the scooter helmets on the top row, no doubt! And my boyfriend really liked the shoes. So I think every man will find something for his taste in the Essentiel store. The same goes for all the ladies of course! ;-)

Last but not least, I just had to photograph these beautiful flowers!

Song of the day: Kanye West - All Of The Lights ft. Rihanna and Kid Cudi

Last week I wrote about the Swedish brand Dagmar. Now I’m writing about another Swedish brand: Camilla Norrback.

The spring /summer 2011 collection from Camilla Norrback is inspired from Camilla's memories of her childhood summers and the visits to the house Carlsro in Ostrobothnia. As so often before, she has returned to her roots in Swedish Finland.

Details of the collection are hook and eye closures, heavy buttons, combinations of lace over cotton and bold cuts with both form and multifunction. Backs and arms are highlighted when billowing fabric creates beautiful draping over the back and on sleeves.

It’s a collection with much black and white, but with a colorful touch. My favorite look is the one with the black blouse (bow inclusive!), white high-waisted skirt and the cute soft-colored blazer.

Song of the day: Ellie Goulding & Erik Hassle – Be Mine

Yesterday evening I was invited to the opening of the exhibition ‘Unravel’ at the fashion museum in Antwerp. This exhibition introduces the visitor to a wide variety of exquisite knitted garments and accessories from across the last centuries, with a focus on high fashion pieces and their vernacular interpretations. It started with a speech and after that we could take a look at the exhibition.

These socks are the cutest! They’re from the ‘On Liberty’ autumn/winter 1994-1995 collection from Vivienne Westwood.

Ugh, the grey weather reflects itself in my outfits. I don't have inspiration for an outfit and my mother is the victim of that. Every morning it is the same story: 'Mom, I don't know what to wear! Lately I discovered some great Swedish fashion companies and House of Dagmar is one of them. The company is run jointly by three sisters - all with notable background within Swedish and international fashion industry.

The spring/summer collection is defined in this way on their website: ''Sensual and rough, harsh leather and feather light fabrics, sporty and relaxed luxury. The Dagmar collection of Spring/Summer 2011 takes its inspiration from the steamy favelas of Rio de Janeiro, where the lust is vibrant and the longing for a better life is constant.''

I selected my favorite items from the collection. Soft colors and black are defenitely my thing and you can also find that in this collection. I love the high waisted skirt in the first picture and the ruffled dresses. What's your opinion on this collection?

I put on my grey Chuck Taylor All-Stars from Converse. I love these shoes since I was a little girl. I liked them so much that I chose to have a picture of my All-Stars on my bank card. While I was browsing through the internet, I came across this amazing brand: Kymare.

Kim Wormgoor (1979), owner and designer of Kymare, graduated in 2002 from the Academy ARTEZ in Arnhem, the Netherlands. In July 2005 she started her own label: Kymare. The label name is a combination of her own name Kim and the Italian translation for sea: mare. Her passion for water and windsurfing always takes an important place in her designs. The swimwear line as well as the clothing line are made for free minded women in a refined, edgy elegance style.

Over the last five years Kymare has expanded and keeps growing. For the 2011 summer season the first Kymare clothing is launched, besides the already successful swimwear collection.

Unfortunately school started again, no more shopping and chilling, it's study time again! But before school started I did some sale shopping and there I found this jeans military jacket. I wanted it for months! Every time I went to H&M it put it on and didn't buy it. But when I went to Antwerp I saw the jacket hanging between some shirts in sale. When I came closer I saw it costed only 15 instead of 50 euros! At first I didn't want to look what size it was, because usually when something I see something I really want, it isn't in my size anymore. But I looked at it and guess what it was a 34, my size! Without hesitation I bought and I don't regret it at all!

I’m officially back and I’m starting all over again. As I announced on my blog, I took a break for a few weeks. I had a few problems with my blog and I didn't have the time to upload new things because of school etc. Enough now with giving reasons why I took a break, I’m back and that’s the only thing that counts.

In one of my previous post I told you that I’ve got a new camera. You can’t believe how happy I was that day. I came home from school, like usual, it was such a boring day. My parents weren’t home, I didn’t know where they were, no messages, no calls, nothing. A few hours later I heard that the door went open, my parents finally came home. They both had a big smile on their face and a present in their hands, I didn’t know what was going on. I immediately unwrapped it and in three seconds I was the happiest girl in the whole world. I wanted a camera for so long and now it was mine! Although I paid half of it with the money from my job, this gift made my day. And if that was not enough yet, they bought me an ice cream, yummy!
